AHH... I have fallen foul of slugs - all my beans are decimated. I am beginning to have a sense of humour failure with these pesky little...it is just so annoying. I'll try next year I think - no wonderful fresh eggs and cosy potting shed to cheer me up either. ;(

Oh dear, I know the feeling thou... couple of years ago I grew all me runners ready and it was a lovely sunny day so I thought right nows the time to plant em out, well just finished planting them and god decided it was time to hale and the leaves just got ripped to shreads! This year not havin much luck with them either, I grew them too early so planted them out but they're not growing up the canes... I know why too, we've moved to a new house and the garden is so full of builders rubble which they've kindly hidden under a skimpy layer of top soil so the beans routes can't settle down. I discovered the builders rubble/concrete when I started digging up the turf to form me veg plot - typical! I went in me potting shed and cried cos it took me over 1 week to dig the ground. never mind the lettuce are growing well - thanx god :-)
