I just love the foliage and bloom on this shrub. I wish it was hardy in my area. I had to settle for a hardier sophora davidii, and it doesn't even look like it is in the same family of plants as yours...lol.

Growing conifers in pots for any length of time is generally not a good idea for many reasons. By your remarks about watering the plant , its my guess the problem is either under or over watering. If you want to keep the plant assuming it is still alive, plant it in the ground. A photo would have been a bit more helpfull.
