You have been busy! Sorry to hear you've got heavy rain again. I expect the garden likes it, though, as long as it's not too heavy.

I too would love to be there. Our son is at the top of the last hill before Sheffield and has been there for many hours! We are flicking from cycling to tennis to the Grand Prix on TV even though the sun is shining down outside! Yorkshire has done so well and it makes me proud to be British once again!

Stera it's my son's girlfriend's parents who live near Sheffield but he was at university there and loved every moment of it and made some wonderful friends.

I am so sorry that Mark Cavendish is out of it as I really like him best of all - along with thousands of others!!!

Lol...I think I can safely say with pride,Yorkshire put their all into making this an event to be remembered..just fantastic .:o)

Holme Moss ...When I was little my Dad had a Ford 8. He wanted to go and see the aerials at Holm Moss and at the bottom of the hill asked a passer by which way to go. The old chap looked at him in amazement and said "Wey - art'a goin' up there, i' that?" (Can't do the accent on paper but Bloomer will understand how it should be said) So I wonder what the man would have said to hoards of cyclists doing the same thing??
