Hi Kath, yes it's been quite windy here as well, and very miserable, it brightened up a little after tea, but then the sun was setting, Derek.

These weren't the free plants for bees things were they? I've still heard nothing from them although when I emailed them a couple of weeks ago they said they were sending the seeds by return. I have given up on them.

Its been really nice here today - spent an hour grubbing up celandines from among the fuchsias (but they'll be back...)

I'm a bit peed of about them too, especially as I recommended them in the first place. It's rather embarrassing!
Good luck with you seeds Kath.

I know the feeling Steragram about 'they'll be back'. I am constantly grubbing up yellow corydalis from among everything! Recently I experimented with glycosate spray and now those in the base of roses and other woody shrubs are dying off. I tend not to trust these offers no matter how august the offerers! There could be some really thuggy seeds lurking in the mix.

The seeds were being sent as named varieties but it looks as though we can forget about them.
I know what you mean about yellow corydalis Dorjac - they grew very easily in Stafford, in cracks in the pavement as well as in gardens. Do you have light sandy soil? I haven't seen any here on heavier ground.

Don't be embarrassed Scottish, perhaps it was too good to be true. Maybe they only sent them to the people who joined their scheme.

It's did say on the programme that first come or something like that will get the seeds as you had to go to the site register and if you were lucky you got them.

And you had to say where you were for as there were different wildflower seeds for different parts of the country.

As not sure what is in the packet I shall sow them in a pot .
And maybe gorilla garden and just scatter at side of road where I walk:)
