Saxifrega Blackberry and Apple Pie

By Scotkat

I have grown to really like these ,first time growing them.

And think I may become to like them as much as my Heucheras.

Has anyone grown them ?

I would like to add these to some of my containers.

One is in a pot in my wheelbarrow.

The other is in my gardens.

I shall now start to keep taking photos to see how they change over the next months.

I had this for a couple of years but I think it got nobbled by the slugs. my brother has had one for 4 yrs now and it is doing really well. I find the saxifrages less pest prone than the heucheras so better plants in my opinion. though less leaf colours.

I bought 2 at the weekend - haven't planted them yet. I tried Black Ruby last year and thought it had been smothered by an Ajuga - however, a few leaves have appeared this last couple of days reaching for light!

Hi Kath, at first I thought you had discovered an edible saxifrage, then I realized it was a variety, funny how I think of food first, lol, Derek.
