Part of my garden in Oct

By Scotkat

Its such a joy still to see some fuchsia in bloom and my roses reblooming .

Its been a fantastic summer season and to be able to enjoy Singapore in March then come back to Spring in garden a summer season as a volunteer in Glamis walled garden which I shall pop down to see them all next week.

Then my time in Dubai last week I have had every season and enjoyed every moment of it.

Just hope our winter is not too long.

Today its dreich not cold but wet infact its 8deg last week I was in very high 30deg.

SD I just love this word just sums it up totally.

A real Scots word DREICH.

A combination of dull, overcast, drizzly, cold, misty and wet miserable weather.

I think you are unlucky with the weather at the moment Kath, it is much milder still down South.

Hi Kath, your garden is looking good, my roses are just about finished, only the odd 1 now, I also had a glenfiddich, but for some reason I lost it this year, {I prefer the real glenfiddich anyway, lol,} but I'm thinking of having a change anyway, and either move or get rid of the roses, will have to think about it, Derek.

The garden is still bearing up well, Kath! Mine is gradually getting covered with leaves - I can hardly keep up at this time of year!

Old Pulteney's nice too, Derek (don't know if there's a rose, though!)

Hi Melchisedec, I haven't tried that 1, I'll look out for it,
I don't want any more roses anyway, so I wont lose any sleep over that, lol, Derek.

It's all looking good Kath - I think many Fuchsia growers are pleased they are lasting longer with the good weather.
Snoop is partial to a bit 'o furry boots'!
You're dreich up there and it's aw drookit doon ere!
