Just a little bit of colour

By Scotkat

Everything slow this season will call it that instead of summer.

Tippy pot was fab but never lasted long but great idea.

Only thing that lasted was Lady in Red Fuchsia which I have repotted in fresh compost.

Compost I had used was Bullrush and this yr it kept drying out no matter how often you water or the heavy rains .

So wont be using that compost again.

Here are some photos.

Niobe is doing well

Hot Chocolate has rebloomed

Ceanothus just coming in to bloom

Rosemary Higham

Warsaw Nike

Let's hope that things that are so late will get a chance to do their thing, Kath.
What a lovely colour Hot Chocolate is! And Rosemary Higham is a lovely combination - the one you sent me is coming on in leaps and bounds. I am delighted with it.
I used "Verve" compsot this year. It has done quite well. Once they dry out, though, I find them all tricky to re-wet. Slowly, slowly seems the only way.
My tippy pot is still going strong, but it was quite upright so it had a fair depth of compost. I wonder if that made a difference? It doesn't get sunshine all day, either.

I really hope we all have an Indian summer this year to enjoy but also to catch up. Lovely rose and the and the Rh Fuchsia is beautiful.

Warsaw N. is looking lovely, ScotK. and the chocolate rose is a beauty. The ceanothus is very late, isn't it? A lot of my plants are late too and my containers have been dreadful!

A let down for a lot of us this year Kath! Your clematis are gorgeous though. A few things starting to come to life now - I hope your garden does the same x
