I have some that have flowers on at long last but they have only emerged this week in our sunshine, I keep looking on the bright side and thinking back to last year, I still had summer flowers blooming into December, it sure looks as though the same is happening again, perhaps thats wishful thinking on my part, lol...

Yes last year a lot was still in bloom by the end of the year.

Seasons certainly changing Lincslass.

Sorry to hear about your fuchsias. The ones I have bought new this year have plenty of flowers on them, having been brought on in the nursery, but the Swingtime I overwintered is very slow indeed - I can just see tiny buds starting to form - I'm hoping there'll be enough sun soon to encourage it to flower properly.

Thats right, we have had some lovely days this week, quite hot at times but soon as the sun starts to go down it turns quite cold, whats happened to our balmy nights, the warmth just disappears, no staying out of an evening without needing a jacket and if one was to leave the greenhouse open it would be fatal with the drop in temp..

Garden News, a new whip is 2 foot tall and in bloom....very pretty, hopefully, hardy fuchsia. Checker board is thinking about it. There is another unamed, rather old, short standard in flower too. I do agree though, Scotkat, that the older ones are rather slow this year. Even in Essex, so much further south.

Yes all to do with this so changeable weather as normally I would have many fuchsias in bloom but not just now Dorjac.
