Part 2 training for Ben Nevis

By Scotkat

Hi everyone as you know I am going to be walking Ben Nevis in July.

So every day I am walking down hill and up hill alternate route each day.

I am trying to beat my time at fisrt when I used to do this walk it woudl take me an hour .

I am put on my proper hillwalking boots and use my walking poles .

I have been going out at 8.00am and back to house at 8.45.

And today its felt humid.

I left at 8.10am today and still back at 8.45 .

My speed is getting faster as on the flat bits I need to keep walking fast as on the steep bits you slow down.

Here are photos of yesterdays walk.

Walking through the cemetry.

JMBarries Grave

Its a nice dry morning so I am away to wash my greenhouse benches.

Good going, Kath. You'll do it, I'm sure.

Didn't realise Barrie was buried there. You learn something every day on this site.

My maiden name was Burns .

Not for charity just a goal for me as in 2009 had a knee injury .

Coming off the hills in Lake Louise and as my my family go hillwalking Imissed getting back on the hills.

I have only done 4Munros but a few corbets and grahams.

But hubby and son done a lot his brother done them all.

And as I am a true Scot have only seen the view and just want to be able to say I walked up that steep hill.
