Yes I would think that they would go in for winter but not here, where I live there is no frost. Betsy's book is awesome, I am working my way through that book growing as many as I can get my hands on, I like the nemorosa types, I am about to order a few plant tanzerin,caradonna etc to see how they go, the superba rubin has quite larger flowers than the nemorosas, Robin from the U.K. sent me seeds of Superba 'Dear Anja', just waiting for it to flower, he has the most awesome salvias on his site, inspiring.

Yes the salvia is my weakness, so many species, I am growing as many as I can get my hands on and I live in the tropics so I can grow quite a few exotic ones.

Yes it is out there and doesnt look like an impatiens but it is.
