I can see a common spirit here! I also like to mix and harmonise and occasionally add something bright and bold to lift the area. (Or the opposite if you see what I mean). But you need the 'structure planting' nearby to support it. I guess it's there and out of picture.

Nice photo. I love this geranium too. They bloom heavily and for a long time if regularly deadheaded, and blooms in dry shade, not many plants out there that will produce for you under these conditions. It's a great addition to anyone's shade garden.!

Gorgeous glossy "statement" flowers! In the 60's one of my old aunts longed for black tulips to grow amongst the grape hyacinths.

They seed profusely and quite often will survive a little frost. Lift some sedlings and keep them frost free to be sure. A very easy plant to grow.
