strange looking daisy!

Last year we planted some daisies like plants (dont remember the name sorry) at the edge of our long border. I persumed at the time that they were annuals, but they have all come back…..
BUT one of them has very strange flowers!

Does anyone know why this has happened? the whole plant is covered in these “strange daisies” bar 3 normal looking ones….

I quite like them ;o

What a great quirk of nature.:) I was just looking at this type of daisy yesterday with my mum ( spotted on a walk) she wants some but hasnt been able to find the, that is the plane ones, did you find the name of them ? think they were in her wedding arrangements/decorations and its her 50th anniversary this year so would be good to get some.

The heart looks bigger and instead of those white petals they've grown into flowers of themselves. Do those little white flowers also have a heart? Perhaps a mutation, of someone has mixed the seeds in the packet. Did you grow them from seeds and then planted them out or did you buy the seedlings? Perhaps Rachelscot, you could have something unique. Go visit the botanical garden with a sample. Someone will have to know. Otherwise to the lab where they do genetic engineering in flora. It could be interesting. In a minute everyone will want one too! And you can name it after you if it didn't exist before. Good luck and let me know when you find out please.
