Take a walk around the place today.

This aerial shot was taken in August. Every now and then they fly over the area and take images and sell the photos to land owners.

OB - I swear your garden gets bigger every time you post photos of it.

It's really woken up in the past few weeks Ob and must be keeping you busy, I've always said its an estate more than a garden and the aerial photo makes me think more so, I too enjoyed my walk thankyou....

A plants womans garden, wonderfull. Your garden looks well sheltered by the tree hedge, are they on the wind side? Too much to mention here but I love your irises, clemati (is that plural?) and that seat and arbor! Lovely. What are the hedge plants around the seat? I cannt quite make it out.

What an amazing site you have - it was interesting ot see the aerial photo - thankyou for including it.
Beats me how you manage all that on your own.

Favourite this time has to be the blue clem alpina - there are many lovely clematis but this wins for me over all the fancy ones!

The hedge round the seat is Hornbeam. Originally it curved over the top, but it got too hard to cut so we reduced it.
The wind here comes from every direction, sometimes at the same time. The hedges are original, we have only thickened them up by adding more shrubs.
I cannot claim to do all the wok on my own, my wife does as much, if not more than I do. After all she grows the Veg as well.

Its a credit to both of you and a fact that you won't get in one anothers way when working, I couldn't pick a favourite area, I love it all and would certainly enjoy losing myself there for a few hours, who gets to keep all the grass in order...

It is absolutely wonderful Ob. A lot of work I am sure but
