No, thankfully! He had been tormenting our dogs who were standing below the fence & seemed to be happy staying in this position for a while!

Our cat has various 'nests' he's made himself around our garden - one in the sun, another in the shade. It's definitely a cat's life...

What a brilliant idea! I might have to steal it - the difficult part is convincing my gardening-phobic husband to help!

Looks like it could be a tree with a Clemetis growing over it? I have a Clemetis that has a flower very similar to these.

Thanks so much - you're right! I just looked on the internet and it is an Allium Christophii. Finally I get to the bottom of it!!

We live on the south coast of Cornwall and very rarely get a frost and a lot of our garden is sheltered from any frost that does make it this far west (it's walled and south facing). Do you think it's still too risky to put outside?

Mine are the same - could it be lack of the appearance of that round thing in the sky that's to blame!!??!

Wish my hosta looked like this - the slugs have had a good feed on mine! Any tips on how to keep the slugs away would be gratefully received - pellets just don't seem to work...

My step-daughter planted some sunflower seeds back at Eastertime & they've finally bloomed - now that they're over 6 feet tall!

Hi there, I tend to use a hand-held water sprayer filled with water & Fairy Liquid which seems to do the trick! I'm not sure that all washing up liquids work as I've been told that some aren't as effective as Fairy. In which case, Fairy may be kind to your hands but not so kind to black fly!! Give them a blast & they should be gone pretty quickly. If there's still some after a couple of days, give them another spray. Hope this helps, Annette

I live in Cornwall and my polyanthus plants seem to flower all year round. This photo was taken in July!

I bought this Aeonium from the Minack Theatre shop in West Cornwall. It has some amazing succulents & is such a stunning setting for this unusual outdoor theatre & garden.

This was another plant that appeared in the garden - I had no idea what it was until I asked a friend.

I moved this rose from a pot into our gravel garden & it's really taken off & has been a mass of flowers for weeks now.

This beautiful Cala Lily slowly appeared in the corner of my garden - we only bought the house last August so it's been interesting to see what plants would appear over the past year!

Wizard of Oz - what a great idea for a garden - and to involve your children & their school - brilliant!

Hi there - the tall plants in the photo are echiums. They're a type of herb I believe. I'd never seem them until I moved to Cornwall. My local garden centre sells them (buy 1 get 1 free!!) so I'm very tempted but they grow to about 10' tall. I think they like sheltered positions although I've seen them all over the place in Cornwall - maybe they like the mild Cornish climate? As far as I can see on the internet, they originate from the Canary Islands.
