Well, I had the plants arrive for two more of the baskets today, so we'll have them up soon. I also bought a couple of tomato plants suitable for baskets, so will try those out too. Then, it'll be the turn of the pouches along the fence..
I'll be posting more piccies, don't you worry, Pasuki

In the right hand side one is a mix of Poppies and the left, salad leaves, like the ones in the pot next to them.
They are cut and come again leaves. Just the job for sandwiches or a salad. You don't have to cut a whole plant, just what you need - ideal for somone on their own, but I seem to be going through them like a dose of salts! never had so much

Hi Spritz
Yep. I'm looking forward to the baskets at full throttle a little later. I hope they turn out good as I have entered them all into a competition in July, but I am still waiting for some plants to arrive. Been waiting nearly a month for them

I wish I could get up in the morning, let alone at dawn!
I'm trying to get myself into gear to get my garden sorted. Have managed to get a couple of my baskets done. I did take some photos, but old fool that I am, I deleted them from my camera. Hoping for some sun tomorrow so that I can take some new ones!

Just what I was going to say. I have nipped all mine in the bud and that usually makes 'em nice and bushy.
Lucky you groing then from seed. Never had much luck with seeds, but I try to get as many self sown plants as I can over the winter

What gets me, is why do those pesky critters attack us gardeners? Never seem to attack commercial growers as badly as us! Same with cabbage white butterflies

Wonderful!!!! Just love the antics that pigs and chicken get up yo. I spent hours as a kid just watching them and can envisage them - and you - shaking it about!

Hi Blodyn
As I said in an earlier post, they came from a friend and were from cuttings. He was a nuseryman, specialising in fuchsias
Bonkers .... T&M will not get a penny from me again and I will NEVER reccommend them to anyone again. I have even told them about some of the adverse comments on this site and they just don't seem to be bothered.

You'll have to devise a system so that you don't have to go up and down the stairs ....... get the kids for a start while we think of a system for you

Me too Jacquie, though they are a little lo at the moment ...... I'll do what I did year before last ... use my 'grey' water from washing up etc

Yes Irish. Tony really knows how to grow them. He usually has an overflowing greenhouse of them. I tried last winter, but out of the two trays of cuttings, I only had two plants that took. Maybe I'll have to try them on my window sills next winter

Hiya
Just had a nother wander around. Blimey, those blackbirds aren't half kicking up a racket this evening. It's lovely out there and the strawberry pot has even MORE blossom on them

Hey Sid! What a wonderful story. Reminded me a bit of our situation .... the outside loo and the chickens occupiying it! We had a couple of ours that were like that too. Oh memories of the good old days! And those yolks tasted so much stronger!

MMMMM Well, I have taken an executive decision and unsubscribed from T&M and requested I am removed from their mailing lists. Why? well, they just don't seem to be interested in their customers .... especially once they have your money.
Haven't heard of J. Parker's, but I am just going to have a looksee at what they do.

Jacque ...... I noticed today that QDs in Wisbech have loads of lobelias in. I have also been told that there is a plant/flower store on the A47 bypass at what used to be one of the filling stations near B&Q, Wisbech.
Still think that it'd be nice to have some fancy tiles attached to that there blank wall.
As for the basket. Look good with trailing plants flowing out of it

Like I said, I'd love to have a couple here, but I just haven't the space and the Housing Society wouldn't let me anyway.
I'll get mine from the market, Ickle, as you are bit too far away.

Get a wiff of the batteries and pig farms here in the Fens. Especially when there is an easterly breeze. Apparently, it comes from Holland and germany - or Bernard Matthews! Not so Bootiful

Well, I am not an M&S shopper. Nearest M&S to me is 18 miles away, so I will go for the free range option from the local market.
More and more of my shopping is from up there, even though I have to carry it back home.
I'm afraid my pensioners budget will just HAVE to make do. Still, before too long, I will be eating ALL my own veg again

Well, David, that's all very encouraging. The camera is the first thing that get's switched on in the morning. I am forever hopeful

Ah! Had a visitor in there this afternoon .... a blooming fly!
David!!!!! You MUSN'T open the box if you have residents! The mummy and daddy bird may fly away .... at least that's what the RSPB and BTO told me.
Still time for mine. BBC Springwatch hasn't started yet, and Bill and Katie always seem to get some broods, so there's hope for Old Muddy Boots yet!
