Well, it HAD to be an easy Saturday. Rain stopped play and it wasn’t much better yesterday. I was off into town and just got around the corner and there was one Hell of a clap of thunder, so I gave up that idea and dived into Asda. I’m glad I did, because when I got back outside again, I thought it had been snowing! It hadn’t – it was hail and some of those hailstones were about an inch in diameter.
To follow that up, that clap of thunder apparently damaged the chimney stack of a house where a woman and her daughter were, and zapped an electric sub staion, knocking out the electric in one of the villages.
After I got home, I took advantage of the wet ground and got the Slug Clear out, diluted it and gave all the open ground and containers a soaking with the mixture.
Today hasn’t been much better. Managed to get into town and myself a miniature fir for a small wooden tub I have, which used to be a water feature. I put some pansies in there too, just to brighten it up.

I still have a water feature, but the new one is a lot more sturdy, though the pump wasn’t mucch use, so I replaced it with a Hozelock 700. Gives a much better performance and no I can hear the water.
