I have got a bit carried away with taking pictures of Red Robin. I cannot believe how fast they grow. I have them all over the place. I feel they deserve a place in the garden with their red leaves they are amazing and I love them.

I think I have made a mistake with my Red Robin and let it grow into a tree. If I cut it right down will it sprout from the bottom and bush out? All yours look so lovely.

Yes it would Gee19. They are very tough and will sprout anywhere on a branch, they can take a good pruning, but I only ever prune mine when a branch bother another plant nearby.

I bought one 1 the other day, but i'm going to put it in a large pot, so it dont get out of hand, but they are a lovely evergreen shrub.

My boy is losing his leaves at the mo, but it's probably because I was brutal with him a couple of weeks ago, lol.
Yours are lovely, Michaella. I've been looking at your pics and reading about you. Beautiful sounding garden.

Thank you Llew. One of them did not behave himself, pushing it's branches at other plants, I had to prune him, but he is sprouting out again. Yours will sprout new leaves very soon. Having so many of them. I feel they drop a lot of old leaves now, then the new ones take over, they then do not have those black spots they seem to get in winter. They are quite robust and do not ask for much.

I'm glad to hear that. Mine had most of it lopped off from the bottom and sides as the height isn't a problem. It sits in a corner and fills it nicely right at the back of my space, and I'd hate to lose it.

I had one in the old garden but they grow too big for here. It's nice you have the room for a few.
