Something is not right, what has happened to July, it is so wet and cold, I feel like putting the heater on. I cannot remember a July like this, it is weird, Global warming alright!

Global cooling, more like! At least it's sunny here but so windy that working outside requires a jacket or a fleece! Definitely no summer yet. Ho Hum. Back to dead-heading.

The last two summers are really the worst I can remember. We always used to get nice spells in between the rainy ones, but these two years have been nothing but cold wind and cold rain all the time. The sun shone here today but there was a cold blustery wind. I'm fed up with it.

It is a bit disappointing, as we have such a short time left now, before autumn and winter rush in, as they cannot be here quick enough.

Despite your weather your garden pics still look lovely. We've had more rain than usual too, but it is still hot here. I guess the school hols are upon you in UK now. Hope it cheers up for the kids.

I wish I could send some of our heat and humidity to you all across the pond. Every day here has been in the high 90's and very humid. We're expecting it to remain this way into the end of next week.

That would just be my cup of tea Mikec, I love weather like that. Here it is too cold. 32 is really nice, you can relax in just shorts and T. And perhaps even swim. That I haven't done for more than 2 months, a disgrace. I do sympathise with you UK people, chill and wind and indeed it's halfway summer already. Perhaps it all comes in August/September and then so hot, you won't know what to do with yourselves. Here today 26, but look at my today's dull day pic, grey skies, grrr. If only it would rain....I am watering the garden beds, they were looking thirsty.

My brother phoned from Tenerife last night - sitting in just his shorts at 10pm with a temperature of 25C in the day and 21C at night. He now lives there and wouldn't want to come back to England. He tried to encourage us to retire there with him but when we visited we found it depressingly arid and rocky. We were glad to get back to our "green and pleasant land"!

You are right Fourseasons, we always think the grass is greener on the otherside, until we see it for ourselves

I am fed up with wind and rain too Blodyn. I work outdoors and summer should make up for the winter months of being out in the cold and wet and wind. Having seen Countryfile today the weather here this week is supposed to be better....:)

We had really high winds here in Bristol today, then it became really cold. Not at all like summer yet!

The jet stream has moved and is above us bringing in a lot of cloud formed elsewhere by warming. The cloud is blocking the heat. If we don't want worse than this then we need to cut our emissions by about 60%. When the sun does finally shine we will probably wish we had the cooling effect of the cloud. LOL I love all my grandchildren and want them to inherit a world worth living in. Here is a great link to help us cut emissions
