Thanks Milky.

Well, it's just red dirt, wasn't dusty yet Louise, although the bright sunlight fades away the spot. There was still plenty of green around, but underneath these trees are only the leaves they shed all year round, as Eucalyptus trees do. But right now things are drying out and will be till April, or when the first rains will fall again.

Thank you all for reading my blogs and your kind comments. I will take before pics, of course. Just for the next week or so I will be very busy, as you can imagine. I will be back soon.

Great shot Pitta.

It's probably the nectar in the flowers Pitta, what is good for their offsprings.

What a wonderful daughter you have Pitta.

Never seen one like that, so cute!

I love those, but boy can they make a lot of noise in the wet season.

Yes, Tasteyg a chook is an aussie word for chicken, lol. And pythons are useful creatures as they eat rats and mice in sheds etc. The only thing is they strangle things.

Stunning....

That is great Pitta, and what an appropriate name given to it. Lovely colour.

stunning colour, I love the single ones too.

I was told by the nursery this was a mutabilis too. What do you think?

Not so Pitta, I think one does more in retirement than in working life, lol. Now looking at the picture it looks like this track is impassable for you on the scooter. Did someone come with a chainsaw to clear it away?

Yes Pitta, they grow very tall, I had several in my garden, a bit of a nuisance really as their fronds are very long and often hang in other trees canopees.

That looks lovely, almost like honey trickling.

Beautiful, it looks like a rose.

I had a pink mutabilis, probably never was up that early to see it white, amazing.

Lovely to see the bud close up.

Thanks for the name, I have that one in my pics too, but never knew the name.

I've had the same one in the garden and I just called it pink hibiscus, lol.

Now Pitta, you're having me on. Is this a real one??? You couldn't possibly have gotten that close to it, not with your scooter and all. Must be in the wildlife park then? Come and tell the story please, I am so curious.

What a stunning photo, that little bird sitting still, amazing!

You look real jazzy there and the scooter blends in with the shrubs, lol. Nice meeting you.
