Leaving GOY

Dear friends,

You might have noticed that I haven’t been here much lately. The reason is that I have a very sore neck and that I cannot sit here too long to look at the pictures and read blogs.
I also cannot do much gardening anymore, so I really don’t have any updates either.
I’ve had x-rays and an MRI and there is nothing seriously wrong except for wear and tear and bulging which puts pressure on a nerve. Lucky my myotherapist does wonders, but I have to watch out and keep moving.
That’s enough about me.
I want to thank you all who have put me as favourite and who have commented so nicely on all my photo’s and blogs. I have deleted them all.
I do not wish to merely leave this community and not letting you know why.
I will do so in a few days, so my friends have a chance to read this.
Wish you all happy gardening,

Regards,
Marguerite.

Very sorry to read this Marguerite, you have to put your health first, I have loved all of your blogs and of course your company over the years, you have shown me places I would never have seen without your input and I really enjoyed following your garden and your travels.
I wish you well for the future and hope your therapist is able to ease your neck and shoulders, you take care Marguerite and thankyou for taking the time to let us all know.
Your blogs might be gone but never forgotten and once again thankyou, its with a sad heart I write this but you still get a like.

Really sorry to hear this Marguerite. It has been interesting to see and hear about gardens on the other side of the world. I've never heard of myotherapy but very pleased that you've been able to find something that helps a bit. Perhaps you'll be able to pop in and read the blogs even if you don't feel up to writing any - I hope so.

I always think, if you move something out of your life,
put something else in, to replace it.

Hello Marguerite, I read your blog with sadness but understand your decision if you're not feeling well. I remember when I first joined in 2008 you were one of the first members to welcome me and comment on my pictures, which was lovely as I was a novice. Ive enjoyed your wonderful pictures over the years. So many lovely people have left who I miss, take care. Dawn x

Oh, how wonderful you all are. Such lovely reactions I didn't expect to see. I thank you so much for this and I have decided just to keep this account open as some of you here suggested. I will pop in every now and then when I feel good and let you know what I've been up to.
Meanwhile I've instructed hubby to mow the lawns, lol, and he did a good job too.
I pulled up some cloverweeds for a short while and I can manage that. So little bits at a time are fine for now. I cannot abandon my garden all together. I just love it too much.
Before we went on our holiday this winter ( up North to the sun ) we built a couple of vegie beds and when we came back we've planted rhubarb, tomatoes and silverbeet and parsley. Just a few vegs, which are so expensive to buy. Today we had unexpected rain, but when fined up I will take a pic to show you how they are growing now.
Thanks again for your encouraging words.

Marguerite I am really pleased to read that you are keeping your account open, it will be good to hear from you occasionally if and when you are able just to let us know you and your family are ok, I know what you mean about your gardening, I've had to leave a lot of tasks to my hubby this year but the ones I managed myself gave me a real boost, easy stages for you Marguerite but take enjoyment from the tasks you can do, take care....

So pleased you will still be keeping in touch, Marguerite, just take it slowly and call in just when you feel like it. Take care :)
