Out to dinner.
Out to dinner.

Tonight we went out to dinner. It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening for it. Hubby and I went to an old Pub down the road in the rainforest, just 4 kms down the Gillies Highway. We had only been passed it; it looks like any old pub from the outside and certainly nothing flash you would take your guests to. But, surprise surprise, when going through the dining area to the back it is a complete different story! The loveliest setting outside. The plants lush, the lights romantic and a few steps further down another area you could sit. This is where we chose to sit. There was nobody tonight and it felt like it all belonged to us. There was a ballustrade and then you could look down onto the river, which you heard gently flowing over the rocks. The spotlights were aimed at the rainforest across and the trees looked spectacular at night. You could hear the crickets nearby and the thunder in the back ground. We jus sat there enjoying things. The lightning lit up the mountains and the trees, just like a fairy tale. We had a great meal and all very peaceful and romantic. And all this just on our doorstep, virtually. Best evening out for dinner ever!

Sounds fab, M.
Some times if you look for them you can find the nicest little places. We don't go out to eat as much as we used too, but it is something we love to do and over the years we have found quite a few good little restaurants to visit. Some of which are tiny "holes in the wall", but really great!
Sounds like you found just the thing!

Or could it have been the wine typing there? I am still laughing at the thought.

You are right Michaella and I just fixed it up. Must have been the G+T's I had, lol. I sometimes type so fast I turn the letters around. It was Chrispook, it was my 66th!
I really think you are all such sports not to flag my entry, lol. Anyway, I must go back there and take a picture of it all. And I forgot to mention: those spotlights where lower than the ballustrade and when we looked down we saw these amazing bugs flying in and towards the lights and they left a trail of lights behind them. All together it looked like fireworks. I had asked the waitress if they had weddings there sometimes, as it looked like the perfect setting, and yes they do. In the weekends they get families there and the children go down and swim in the river. Must be wonderful....

You have a great evening now as it is morning here.

Haha Michaella, you could have flagged it you know and I wouldn't have known why, lol. Thanks for you appreciation. This is my way of talking as I only have a hubby to talk to and he knows it all.....I probably by now write as fast as I can talk, so no need for patience. You have a nice day.

Thanks Arlene. Usually I am pretty good, as I only look at the screen and see at once what I type, but that night I must have had too many G+T's, lol.

Sounds great, glad you had a good time, I can just picture it all. But is that a mistake in word, there after the peaceful and romantic. And all **** just on our doorstep, was it meant to be THIS? instead. Lol.
