It's raining!

It’s raining cats and dogs.
Or should I say frogs?
The sound they make
is far from fake.
They croak like mad!
It has to be said:
Hub can’t hear tv
he can only see.
The rain pelts loud.
Those frogs are stout.
It’s hot and steaming,
no sunrays beaming:
It’s night
and the light
on the veranda
makes them go rawawawa.
The fish in the pond
are so fond
of playing hide and seek:
think they’re in the creek.
The drops make big rounds
and the water sounds
splashing around
and the ground
is soaking
and frogs keep croaking.
That’s the weather today
I have no more to say.

Yes Andrewr! Thank you all for your appreciation. Yes Hywel, I do write everything I share with you, stories and poetry. I've got a whole collection, but half of them is in Dutch and not all about nature either....

Hi Wolf, thanks for passing by. Yes, we are pleased when it rains in Australia, aren't we? You can write some music to it, be my guest. But you have to play it loudly as the frogs' sound is ear deafening, lol.

Yes we love it when it rains in Australia. I miss the frog-songs when it rains, I don't get that where I am at the moment. Although having said that it rained the other day when I was working by the creek at the farm and I got the treat of frogs singing. It's like nature is celebrating when it rains isn't it?

It sure is, you are a nature boy by the sounds of it. You cannot beat kids who have grown up on the farm, they somehow are different.
