Has anyone ever tried to grow a daf or a narsisi by scooping out a beetroot and putting in the bulb,within a pot of the usual ,to see if it will grow pink ?

Today,I did just that and will have to wait until the spring to see the result.
I will report on the result when the time arrives.

The experiment with the beetroot was a 'no go' they did not change colour at all ! It was worth a try.

Well done on trying with the beetroot ...

Amy grew roots on a Brussels sprout in a jar of water, and we're wondering that if the experiment were to be repeated with food dye in the water, the sprout might change colour ?
