Hi everyone
Now my Orkney holiday is over (fabulous place, missing it already) I have returned to an overgrown lawn and loads of garden chores. Sadly I have developed a bad back in the last week so I am gazing folornly out and am unable to do anything !!
I’ve organised someone to tackle the grass – once it stops raining – but the weeds are just sitting there laughing at me.
The greenhouse is groaning with green tomatoes – no sun, no heat :(( but the courgettes are still madly producing. I’m getting a little sick of courgettes with everything. memo for next year – not so many courgette and tomato plants.
I am still getting little baby cucumbers – despite being told I couldn’t grow tomatoes and cucumbers in the same greenhouse.
My parsnips are all doing well and so are the sprouts.
I planted up a bit more of the rockery before I sent but one side is still quite bare.
It’s pouring with rain and everywhere is awash outside.

Oh dear - sorry about the bad back. Take it steady but keep moving, it really does help. My grass needs cutting again too - NO chance! It has stopped raining here now (5.30) and the sun is out, but the last few days have made everything so soggy!
