I must confess the dahlia is my favourite flower nothing compares to their beauty ok maybe the Clematis Montana in May but that's it! ;o)
Nothing gives me such a buzz as collecting my own dahlia seeds and my goodness its so easy why bother raising your tubers each year collect the seed and give that a go...if I can do it anyone can swap seeds and you'll make your friends happy too.Hel.xxx

Thank you Ducky, Blodyn and Sandra.
Blodyn there were two plots going spare on our site both next to out plots, nobody is willing to take on a plot that hasn't been 'worked' for 2 years never mind 25 years plus which is the case with these spare plots.
We have got a 'deal' with this new plot we only have to pay water rates of £5 for the first two years and then after this a very reduced rental but as each plot is only £8 per year we are not talking about a great deal of money.Hel.xxx.

I do love the flowers on these plants so simple yet such a pretty colour. I have the big variety but it's such a brute I'm trying to dig the whole lot out of our gardens at the moment.Hel.xxx.

My goodness this brings back so many memories for me. When I was a young girl in the 70's I used to go horse riding at Normanbay Hall one of the riding instructors had a hook for a hand and when I first started riding I was forever falling off so he was forever picking me up by hooking me in the back of my trousers to put me back on the horse! I did get better though! ;0) Hel.xxx.

Thanx guys for your kind comments, this chair matches my funky chimney pots which much to my hubby's dismay are painted in the same style. ;0)
I'm sure the chair will look better with a nice trailing plant in it don't you think so too?Hel.xxx.
