I have been collecting seeds from my dahlias today. I did the same last year and was able to give my sons lots of plants. I love these red ones you have.

I've got the King and Queen as well - we call them Jack and Vera!! I've got bedding plants in them at the moment and then change that for winter flowering pansies.

I thought allotments were in short supply.
I grew Japanese onions once I remember. They were very nice.

Wow, you have taken on a lot - but it sounds as though you really enjoy all the work. The new plot looks to be in a good location, there are few things more dishearening than an abandoned allotment - especially when there are some of us who cant get hold of one!
The onions look lovely - I bet thay make a lovely salad.

I am a foster carer and every child I have looked after has had the choice to paint their name on a large pepple they have chosen from a trip to the seaside. Together we find a place in my garden for it to lay. They love finding the numorous names scattered! Next year my veg will be labelled this way! A brilliant extension of such a simple idea, also giving me the chance with a paint brush!! So looking forward to it. THANKS
