More news, and an update from the Blog of August 5th. Blog 14

Further to the Blog we wrote on August 5th, we have been informed that the article about our garden will be published in ‘The Mail on Sunday’ newspaper.
It will be featured on Sunday September 14th, 2008.
So to all our friends on G.O.Y we hope that if you can obtain a copy of the newspaper you will enjoy the article and the photographs.
We are also absolutely delighted because this summer we raised a total of £656 for charity by opening our garden for
The National Gardens Scheme.
As our garden is the smallest in the entire ‘Yellow Book’, we are allowed for safety reasons to accommodate 5 adults into the garden at any one time as the space is so limited, so we are really delighted with the amount of money we have raised.
We are sure that our fellow N.G.S ‘garden openers’ on the site will support us when we say that its very hard work opening your garden to the public, but it is so worthwhile raising funds for such deserving charities. It’s also lots of fun meeting other enthusiastic gardeners at the same time.
The weather has been quite appalling on several of our open days,so we are most grateful to all the visitors who braved the poor weather to come and see the garden and donate so generously to the N.G.S charities.

With best wishes,
Grenville & Alan.

Those Mail on Sunday copies seem rare, like gold dust.
Look out for the Mail garden report on ebay at very high prices !
I hadn't realised your garden was the smallest in the whole Yellow Book. Well done on such a large total raised for charities when you are forced to restrict your visitor numbers.
A really unique garden.

I will be hot-footing it up to the Newsagent to get one, Grenville! I hope it does your garden justice. :-) Well done for making so much money, by the way.
