Garden seats.

Garden seats.

I was out in the garden today painting the garden furniture and I suddenly felt a Blog coming on!. Thankfully it was’nt a painful experience but it occurred to me that as gardeners we seldom sit down to relax and enjoy our efforts in our gardens.
I must confess I sit down for a few minutes, and then my eyes dart around the garden and I spot something that requires my attention, so I leap up again!
So come on G.O.Y members post up photos of your garden seats, arbours, or other garden seating arrangements and sit back, relax and enjoy your gardens!
There is a section on garden seats in the ‘encyclopaedia’ facility on this site, so we can all share our ideas for garden seating!

Here are our garden seating arrangements….

\

This ornate seat is very heavy and is made from cast iron in the style of 19th Century garden seating.
It is painted with Farrow & Ball paint in ‘Berrington Blue’.
(Number 14.)
The seat is flanked by two wooden Obelisks and under the seat is a classical wooden planter with Eagles head details and ball finials.

\

The classical planter under the seat.

\

These chairs surround the glass top table on the upper deck. There are four of them, and they have been painted with ‘Fired Earth’ paint ‘Carragheen’.
(Number 78.)

\

On the left of the photograph is the ‘Pepper Pot’ feature, and in the background one of the metal seats alongside the garden table.

Ooooooooh..Love em both, especially the first one. Certainly has to add to the "garden appeal". Your whole garden looks delightfully gorgeous. You do good work! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't sit still in the garden. Can always see something that needs a little love and attention.lol Sadie

When my friend comes here I make a cup of tea and we go to sit in the garden, but it isn't long before she sais " Oh can't you keep still for a minute " lol. I just can't. I like your seats especialy the one by the table.

Lovely seating. I know what you mean about seeing something that needs doing as soon as you sit down. We will be forced to stay sitting today since it will be too hot in the sun, 34 in shade and much more in sun. I get a few jobs done when it cools down in the evening.
