Actually I prefer the look of greenery on wood as opposed to painting the fence. It also sets you up for a job to be repeated yearly as nothing looks worse than flaking paint. If you did decide to change it probably a stain would be a lot less agro. Gardening is a form of self expression; you don't have to justify your choices, just enjoy them!! Some people prefer curves, some like linear design; some gardeners go for a carefully selected ordered garden, others prefer a rambling, natural look. As long as you love your yard, bravo!!

Have to go with Sid on this one. I had the problem last year - it is a calcium deficiency in the tomato caused by too much nitrogen in the soil. I had used two different soils in my pots; all were fine but the one with the 'new' soil; it drove me crazy!! Toward the end of the season the end rot tapered off, but I probably should just have repotted it and saved all the aggrevation.

Does the bloom turn into a berry? Then it is probably Mandrake/ May Apple. I believe the bloom is white on them...
but perhaps the are the same plant?

They have green wagons like this at our store, and they work great! I'm sure you will get tons of use out of yours. Hello Ruben!!! He is a lovely looking dog!

Irish, I'm sorry! Upon rereading this I realised I mistakenly had the impression that this was your kids having a rough & tumble that got out of hand - only now realized it was neighbours tresspassing! Sorry, old brain not always firing on all cylinders anymore!! To heck with deep breathing if this wasn't a one off accident!! Unless it's to take a deep breath before lambasting the life out of them, parents as well!! And yes, I would seriously consider building that wall higher, who wants to see the likes of them each day!!

Aww! Poor wellies! I have had a number of treasures destroyed but my own little ones over the years; children were usually worse than the pets, funny how landlords all say 'no pets' eh? I had two beautiful girls, the soft feminine human beings, who managed to kick in door bottoms and roll through drywall wrestling with each other. Should have gotten the little b--- on video to use as blackmail now that they have their own broods! Good luck! Remember to breathe deeply and know that they will someday be "blessed" with their own little rug rats!

My older siamese, Chia, loves bags and boxes too! Funniest thing I have seen her do was try to lie in a cracker tray ( 2.5" w x 18"l) thay I had taken out of my shopping bag - this cat is almost 20lbs, not exactly a light girl! Lol! Wished I had a camera ready then!
