He is beautiful. Welcome to GOY, Tiggy.

Hi Tiggy, aren't you beautiful ?

12 Jul, 2015

Ahhh hes lovely Gee.... brought tears to my eyes as hes just like my sky was...

Tiggy says 'thank you for the welcome' - he is very noisy and, I think, with a lot of patience will become very tame. He loves being out of the cage and is OK to land on my hand as long as I move slowly. Millie has totally ignored him and I wait until she is asleep elsewhere before letting him out. Don't want to upset her.

Holly, I dithered a bit before deciding to have another pet bird but am so glad I have. I thought of you the first time Tiggy came out the cage and wouldn't go back in :)

Do you have them in separate cages? What I used to do was to put my new one in a separate cage at a distance and over time, moved them closer together. This gave my old budgie time to get over the shock of having a new friend in his territory and engage in casual conversation with him as well as realize that nothing would change as far as attention was concerned. By the way, is your old friend a budgie too?

OMG.. blog now on my favs... welcome Tiggy :o) x

Oh isn't he a poppet? What made you choose the name?

12 Jul, 2015

Hi Loosestrife, Tiggy is my only bird. Poppy my little lovebird (shown in my avatar) died recently. Millie is my dog and I don't want her to feel upset by the attention the newcomer is getting :)

Thanks,TT - Tiggy likes the computer so he will soon get to meet Crocus :)

I actually chose the name Twiggy, Waddy, but repeating it over and over I ended up sounding like Jonathon Ross, and even found myself saying 'triggy' - Tiggy seemed to come more naturally :)

Aww Tiggy is lovely and looks very happy and confident with you ;0)

Hi Tiggy..............very handsome!

12 Jul, 2015

Just wondered, as I used to have a cat named Tiggy, a female version of Tigger, Christopher Robin's friend.

12 Jul, 2015

Hi Tiggy..looks like you have landed on your feet,at Gee's house..she will spoil you rotten :o) just behave yourself, and she will be a walk over..what,she is already?
Isn't that right Gee ? lol xx

12 Jul, 2015

Tiggy doesn't know 'behave', Bloomer, today he has become a computer 'expert' - first he chewed the stylus so it's now useless and then be walked all over the tablet screen and managed to change the 'wallpaper'! He seemed to like the clicking noise it made - Good job he's just a lightweight :)

12 Jul, 2015

Oh dear, looks like he will be getting an ASBO anytime now ! Lol x

12 Jul, 2015

ASBO ? Anti Screen/Stylus Budgie Order ? ;o) x

13 Jul, 2015

Im sure you'll have lots of fun with Tiggy... teaching him to talk and having him playing outside the cage... sky used to sit in his cage in the evening before he went to sleep he would say love you.. love you... do miss his little budgie talk...

13 Jul, 2015

15 Jul, 2015

Welcome to Tiggy, he's a handsome chap Gee andI can tell by this blog and the photo's that he's already made himself at home, destructive little beggar as well by the sounds of things but that comes with the territory as I well remember, we always love them and think its funny when they do these things, they are such good company aren't they....

16 Jul, 2015

Tiggy has certainly got his feet under the table, Lincslass, and is very entertaining. Hope you are feeling less sore and stronger each day. Take care.

17 Jul, 2015

Thanks Gee, its more uncomfortable than painful, started itching already which is a sign of healing, that of course is good but oh boy its getting on my nerves..

17 Jul, 2015

Oh dear, I remember that horrible itching when I had my ankle in plaster. Can you use savlon or something similar to soothe it.?
