Flooding update

Hurrah, action at last – well, nearly! One of the parish councillors popped in this afternoon to let me and my neighbours know that the drain was being cleared tomorrow. That is a great relief to us all. Poor Millie was really confused – she only does water when it’s warm and sunny.

Thank you all for your kind sympathy and suggestions. Hopefully in a few weeks the ground will have dried and all my plants will survive and bloom during the spring/summer. So much to look forward to :)

This little dove was glad her food was raised out of the water……

….but these hooligans just added to the flood :)

Gee, I missed this - so sorry to hear you've been flooded. I hope there wasn't anything nasty from the drains in the water.

Thanks, TT and MW - I won't be taking photos of the 'drainers' - I am off out shopping tomorrow - some Christmas money to spend :)

Great news. Enjoy your shopping trip. Take photos of the cleared drain and then keep an eye on any build up so you can alert said councillor of the need to clear BEFORE a future flood.
