So sorry to hear about the little brown bear and the whole sorry incident. You sound like a very special person with a great little family at home, especially the poppies. Perhaps the little brown bear will fall into the hands of another child who will care for it as you have done; I really hope so. Chin up Beauty and keep gardening through the showers!

Some people rlly dnt understand how much it effects the person their stealing from....Money can be replaced but sentimental things cannot.

Glad your garden made you smile. I just saw them big red lips and couldnt resist a smirk.

My gran always used to carry 2 bells off her previous cats on her handbag and they accidently fell off on her holiday and she feels lost not hearing that little ring.

Oh Gee, that is sad, glad you were given all that amazing help and that your garden and pets have cheered you up, maybe whoever stole from you needed the cash badly..... how could we not smile at that smiley poppy! x

So sorry Gee. This happened to me while abroad, so understand how you feel. Mine was at the end of a holiday so not much money lost, but it was the sentimental picture of my OH that upset me most.

Cinders, that is so sad too. x

Gee thats a terrible and upsetting thing to happen, all too often these days, I can understand how you felt about the little bear, some things are irreplaceable and that has nothing to do with monetry value. I`m pleased you got your card sorted quickly and that you received a loving welcome from Millie and Poppy to make you feel better, won`t tell you my thoughts on the lowlife who did the deed.
Lovely set of pics...

Oh thank you Grandmage. It was about six years ago now, but life goes on...

Gee, you are very valuable person. After such experience only people who keep detachment from negative emotions can write so wonderful blog :)

Now one comment. And I apologize, if it sounds stupid now. But it is my life experience. Whenever I wanted to save, I lost. And whenever I was generous, it was returned to me hundreds times. That´s probably one of the life laws.

Thank you all for your support. I love the idea of a child finding my little bear, Gardenersmate :) My children had different reactions when I told them about the incident - my youngest daughter thought about the little bear but the eldest thought 'I hope they've taken that horrible old school photo of me' - she is 46 now but they hadn't - I still have it :)
Sorry you lost your special photo, Cinders.

Awww Gee Im so sorry to hear of what has happened to you, especially that you have lost your little bear, thats so sad, wouldnt want to say what I hope happens to whoever stole your purse. It was a relief to hear the bank sorted out your cards so quickly for you and that you were able to find comfort and happiness in your pets and lovely garden which in the end is worth so much more than money can ever buy .

What an awful thing to happen, but on the bright side, it could have been much, much worse. Sorry about your little bear though, irreplaceable. Like your pics and keep smiling!! :-))

Oh dear i'm so sorry for such a horrible thing to happen like you said they didnot get much but your poor teddy was on it, but at same time i know he can't be replaced, but you where safe and didnot get hurt in this terrible thing, I think that counts for everything i think.

I'm sorry to hear of your purse being stolen. I hope they catch the culprit, but I'm afraid many people have no concience. It's nice to know you had some help at the time, and that you were cheered up after getting home ... Who wouldn't after seeing Millie and those smiley flowers :o)

Sad to hear you have lost your little treasured bear. The purse can be replaced but your keepsake can't. Such a shame.
I'm glad you ended up with smiles all around. It certainly was a mixed day for you :)

Firstly Gee, Although your poppies are beautiful, I am very sad at the demise of Beastie :-(

Secondly, what are the flowers in the 2nd pic after Poppy? I have had some come up & been maening to ask on here what they are.

Thirdly, That is a beautiful photo of Millie (& Poppy)

& finally, what a great way to show off your Heuchera collection :-)

Hopefully Beastie will make a return appearance next year, Willinilli :) The orange flowers are Evening Primrose Sunset Boulevard. I thought the heucheras made my little 'flower pot storage' shed look more attractive.

I do hope so Gee, he was so cute :-)
Thanks for letting me know about the evening Primrose, I will have a sniff tomorrow, they should smell nice, should'nt they?

Aw Gee so sorry you had the upset after such a nice shopping day, thank fully you were helped to save loss from your a/c too, how nice that your welcome home was so warm, loved all your photos the beauty and beastie ones - the biggest beastie though was the thief in town I am sad for your little bear and can understand your anger at his loss.

Gee you are a tonic. I had to smile through the tears when I read what you said your daughter said about her photo. You so deserve all the loving attention you got from your family and your pets and also from the staff in the shop. I hope you got some nice new things to wear.

Hi Gee.
That's so sad about the little bear. I hope he's now in a loving home.
I'm glad Millie and Poppy were there to give you a big welcome :o)

Thank you, Neellan, Scotsgran and TT. All well here now, had a lovely 'posh nosh' meal out on Saturday, wearing some of the new clothes :)

Pleased to hear that Gee hugs :o)

Good for you. I'm pleased you are able to rise above it.

Sorry I'm so late on this Gee. I thought I had read this and screened it out some time back. How angry does this make you feel? Everyone was so good to you. It is at times like this that you know there are good people around, as well as nasty thieves. Sorry you lost your keepsake bear too. Your family, animals and garden were a great comfort to you to get over this. I had my whole bag taken in Chester on holiday. I got it back a lot later...just money out. My OH got his wallet back by post after the house was burgled. The burglar posted it!!!! Only money taken. Lovely blog as a follow up.

You're right, Dorjac, the nice people far outweigh the few nasties! I was sorry to lose my little bear but a dear friend on GoY sent me a replacement which is safely secured inside my bag now, alongside my purse which is now tethered inside my bag by chain and bell :) It's a bit like 'shutting the stable door' but makes me feel safer. How strange that your OH's wallet was returned in that way - a bit of a conscience perhaps but not enough to return the cash?
