Hi Gee, pleased to see you, it sounds as though you`ve had a busy time and have to say well done with your restoration, your cabinet looks great, you must be so proud of your handywork.
Sorry to hear you lost Stig, that is a lovely photo, I know you will all miss him, its very sad when we lose a well loved pet. Is Stanley yours or your daughters? either way he`s a lucky lad and by the sounds of it, rescued just in time, he looks huge compared to Millie, they both look contented in the pic.
Shame about your plants and shrubs, lets hope your cuttings have taken and you get your garden back to rights again.
Lovely photo`s Gee, a really good one of the wren, I know there`ll more of your feathered friends, I`ll look forward to seeing them...

It's nice to hear from you again Gee :o) I've been wondering where you were.
Your cabinet looks great. Congratulations on doing such a fine job of it !
I'm pleased to see Millie again, and glad to hear she is well and enjoying life :o)
Sorry about Stig though. That must have upset you all. However, I'm pleased to hear Stanley has been rescued. It astounds me how people can kill off an animal just because they don't want it - disgusting ! He'll have a good home with your daughter. Maybe he'll appear in some of your blogs :o)
Happy plant hunting. How exciting lol :D

Hello Gee, its lovely to hear from you! I can see you have been very busy, I love your cabinet, beautifully restored and all those fat balls for the birds, brilliant, If I put out fat balls here the squirrel pinches them so I dont anymore! Do you have that problem? Lovely new doggie too, and new fence, do have a rest during the winter months now and keep in touch with us here on Goy. x

Welcome back Gee. Lovely blog. I especially like the wren photo and the dogs together one. Lucky dogs to find a home after they retire. I'm sure you all have precious memories of Stig. Great job on your new furniture.

Hi Gee, great to have you back..and yes! you have been missed.
So so sorry to hear about Stig but Im sure he would be pleased to know that Stanley got a fantastic second chance!
It sounds as tho you havent had a spare second, but its great to enjoy the family and your "project" is stunning! You made a beautiful job of the dresser...another thing saved for a new life!
And to cap it all a chance to change the garden..I dont like digging things up and it sometimes means you get stuck in a rut. But best of luck with it!
Love the bird pictures, have missed your great shots.
Looking forward to more pics and news from you.
Margo xx

Hi Gee its great to see you back have really missed your veryinteresting and entertaing blogs.
Sad to hear about Stig I know he will be greatly missed . A big welcome to Stanley, isnt it dreadful that someone would even consider putting a beautiful dog like Stanley to sleep just because he doesnt come up to their expectatations, but the best side of the story is that he will have a wonderful home with you, hope Millie does come to love him.
You have done a great job on your cabinet love that style of furniture. You also sound as if you are going to be very busy in your garden , looking forward to seeing the progress.
Love the Wren picture , there is one in my garden very rarely see it though just hear its familar chirping and scolding.
You will have lots of catching up to do so enjoy and chat again soon;0)

Thank you all for your lovely comments. It is so good to be back and to have some time when I'm not thinking 'I should be doing.....'!

Stanley has settled down very well with my daughter and family and Millie is much more relaxed with him now. My daughter has had to buy a couple of rugs to go on her laminate flooring as he is a bit like Bambi, all legs.

We have had a lovely day here and I have managed to dig over the trampled flower bed and dig in some compost ready for the new planting. Rain forecast for tomorrow so I was glad to get it done. Now for some catching up.... :)

Hi Gee welcome back haven't you been busy , you've made a fab. job of the furniture you have every right to be proud of the finished result . I'm sorry to hear about Stig he was Millies first friend ,I'm sure she will be happy with Stanley I'm so please you were able to save him it brings tears to my eyes when I think of the way these lovely dogs are treated ..
I know of a couple of garden centres worth a visit in Suffolk if they are anywhere near you .. Woottens of Wenhaston and The Walled Garden near Snape ,I'm not sure of the address but I'm sure someone would point you in the right direction .
I'm looking forward to seeing photos of Millie and Stanley enjoying their walks together ;o))

Thanks, Amy. My daughter is living in Woodbridge so hopefully your garden centre suggestions are within reach. She has only told me about Wyevale and Notcutts which we have here anyway. Something different would be nice :)

If you google 'Plant nurseries in Suffolk' you will find lots.

And Ive had some lovely irises from Woottens, Also Seagates Irises but they may not be very close.

I've followed your suggestion, Scotsgran, and had a quick browse - there are plenty around the Woodbridge area. Unfortunately it looks as if I have missed The Walled Garden as it closes on Sunday & Mondays from this coming weekend and we do not go up there until the end of November. I expect I will find something :)

Btw, Woottens have 45% off, on many plants..they have a list on line.

That's a shame Gee ,never mind you will save some money The walled garden is a lovely place but they know how to charge for the plants .. we have had a lot of plants from Woottens we can't go over to Suffolk without calling in there , they give you a nice computerised list of the plants you have bought telling you all you need to know about them .. You will have to let us know if you find some more good nurseries in the area Gee ! If you are lucky enough to visit Southwold have a look in the Amber shop :o))
