Monty Don showed this photo on BBC Gardener’s World on 18 April!
Note the wheelbarrow! I was able to resume gardening later in the afternoon – 3 inches of snow disappeared as quickly as it had come!

It was strange to see all the paths clear of snow. They were warmer than the plants - the stone acted as a storage heater!
