I have finally done it the veg patch is dug and cleared now the big question is, is there anything a can plant/sew now for winter veg or spring veg for that matter i have no clue as you probably already guessed.
i’m a bit eager and at present i know but really want to make the garden my own plus it will teach the girls that veg doesn’t just appear in markets and super markets. They kind of know but i want to prove it (and encourage a little eating but shhh they haven’t guessed my cunning plan yet)
Thanks V

Spritzhenry is correct there are still a lot of things you can grow in Fall and even Winter. Salad greens are a good choice and cabbages, Kale and Swiss Chard can even take freezing temps and still do okay.

You can get certain types of onion sets that can be planted in the autumn and then you harvest them next spring. Good luck with your veg. patch.
All the best, Hywel.

You are still OK to plant spinach, turnips, radishes and 'cut and come again' salad leaves. Good luck!
