Frog spawn

I’m really pleased that we have our own frog spawn bubbling away in the pond this year. Last year a friend brought me some for our newish pond, and although we had tadpoles, I’d hardly seen any frogs during the year. The frog spawn that she brought was from a big puddle – safer than importing it from another pond which might also mean importing their pond weed! I hope we shall now have fewer slugs.

Hi Eileen, i only have a small pond and would love some frogs in the garden but .....after a walk up to our local pond no frogspawn to be found..... just loads and loads of ducks...

It may be too early in your part of the world. Ask people who have wild life ponds in your area. I believe ducks eat frog spawn!
