Love the succulents...pics like these inspire me to get some more next year! I always think 'house leek' is such a prosaic name for such gorgeous plants!

Drc most are fully hardy if kept in a cold greenhouse over winter... it is the wet they hate :-)

Thanks all, we do have a problem overwintering as we do not have a greenhouse, last year we lost many due to the extremely cold weather, it is usually the wet that finishes them off, reckon they will join the bananas in the garden room lol

What a wonderful selection of those colourful sempers., DD
I think they are fascinating and tried for years with little success but now I've got a fair number ...all spilling out of three big pots ...I must find my pics and put them on here some day. I find that the birds peck sempers to death if they are not discretely netted!! I have managed to keep them off this year and will have to take them into the sitootery/garden room for the winter...having got them this far I would hate to lose them now! I do envy you that gorgeous black one...it has the WOW factor!!

Alz it has taken many years to get them to reach that size, the wet wont be doing them much good.....
