HARDY GERANIUMS ESP FOR SPRITZ.

Here they are, just some of the more messy ones.

These are the ones we brought with us from the Midlands where we had a collection of 48- 50, sadly we could not bring them all as our garden is so much smaller now.
A favourite of mine is Geranium Psilostemon.

Very glad to see your lovely photos of hardy gers. They are so varied and so obliging. Such a pity you had to leave the bulk of your collection behind. Have you tried Erodiums? They're not quite so easy to find, but equally obliging and they take up alot less room!

Mavis thanks if you need help ask Spritz she is an authority on them. BB we used to grow Erodiums lost our last one to the cold winter......good idea perhaps to try again as you say take up a lot less room.

I like the hardy geraniums but they do get a bit big and my garden is smaller now.

Thanks Dd!!! I am not an expert, though - I just know some of them and have quite a collection - which I've logged. Others get looked up in my RHS 'Geranium' book.

Sadly, the anonymous pink ones seem to hybridise with each other (naughty, naughty!) so they are crosses betweeen G. endressii and G. x oxonianum. Yours look only too familiar! I shall have to do a similar blog so that you can see!

And yes, don't they spread! Why don't the precious ones do that???
