Feeling extremely happy and very, very surprised…..we were presented with two Gold awards and a certificate of Excellence for our garden last week at the Gosport and L O S In Bloom competition….still getting over the shock, never expected to get anywhere, after the summer we have been through….

One was for best back garden, and the other best newcomers, we scored the most points!
So that was a bit of excitement…….now back to the hard work….large tree felled, 3 limbs off the Silver Birch!….

Just one of the little jobs lined up, to keep us busy for the next month…….

Well done Angie.... I remember saying to you that we gardeners never give up.... I've always thought how pretty your garden was...and has a Mediterranean feel.

Well I think that's very much deserved! Have you made a decision on whether to open next year yet? We have decided to do four days in one week next year and parties of 6 or more by arrangement. I think it will work a lot better for us. :) Congratulations :)

Thank you Eirlys, Dr, Gnarly, Sandra, Balcony, Amy, HB........for all your lovely comments.
Karen many thanks we are not opening next year, taking a year out, having a rest from all the pressure of getting the garden immaculate etc.....we have several jobs we want to do, so we can take our time doing them..
Hywel we have put in mostly shrubs, particularly evergreen ones, also a large half barrel pond, with pond plants in and around the barrel, we had a smaller one outside the kitchen window, which we have now removed, we are changing that area also!! all go..... the pond arrives on Wednesday, hopefully the hole will be dug by then!!
