**Will be taking things easy**??

I will not be posting for a while as gardening and taking photos has been put on the back burner for now…
I had major surgery on Tuesday, having been diagnosed with cancer, it will be a few weeks before I get more results…
I have a very supportive and loving family and friends all praying for my recovery, so I am in safe hands….
I will pop in occasionally to see how you are all getting along…. Happy bank holiday….
Angela….

Thats interesting about Wild Violet Leaves. We learn something new every day. Will check this in Culpepper.

Determination is important. Gardeners are all positive thinkers which will be good for you in the weeks to come.
The weather is warming up now, so get out there and think about plants !

I wish we knew more detail of the work Phlebotomists do.
They take a small phial of blood from the patient, and in 3 weeks find out exactly what is wrong, what can be done to get them better again, a whole medical history in that little phial of blood.
After my leg gave way again and I fell for the 14th time, and fractured my skull for the 3rd time, they did the detective work on me. Came up with the 5 year Course of Alendronic Acid and Calcium tablets which are stopping my bones deteriorating. I am so lucky they are there, and I am so grateful. Next month I will have completed 4 years of the Course. My GP said we will carry on for the 5 years, then have another blood test , and decide what to do next.
There are 350,000 on the Course all over the country.
I expect when we have all completed the 5 years, they will feed all the results into their computer, and publish the results for the medical profession.

I was so sorry to hear about your illness and realise it will be a difficult time for you and your family. They sound as if they are going to surround you with all the love and support that you need. All of us on GoY will add to that love and support too. Very best wishes, Chris.

Sorry to hear about your illness but stay positive. My brother made a full recovery from bowel cancer four years ago and my sister from breast cancer about ten years ago. She still gets checked twice a year but fingers crossed, nothing.
It's a long hard road but worth it so I send you best wishes for a full recovery and will be thinking of you.

You are very brave to tell us all about your illness Dotty. My OH and I are very familiar with your situation and somehow you can get through the investigations and whatever is needed to make you well again. I hope your garden stays as delightful as always in your pictures.

Just came across your blog, DD. I'm very sorry to hear that you have had to undergo masive surgery for cancer. Like so many others on GoY, my prayers also go towards you making a full & speedy recovery. I shall also miss your posts & the photos of your lovely garden. But as someone above said, we gardeners are positive people - always looking to the future & making plans.

Hoping to see you soon much recovered. :-))
