Ooh thanks for the tip. Hhhhm wonder what excuse I can find to be in Wednesbury on Monday (don't think theres a Morrisons near us in Staffs) :)

18 Feb, 2012

Helen I have bough many plants like you from Ms and have never been let down, such good quality at such low prices....cant be bad.
Sam hope you manage it....lol

18 Feb, 2012

lol I went to a local M... last week and asked for the plant section, because that's what I usually do. I eventually found it - a row of platic flowers!

Of course, it might not have been the same brand of M... as yours

Or was that J... L..... ? went to both on same day, as they were close.

21 Feb, 2012

Thanks Dotty! Because of you(!) I went to M..S today for the first time in years, and found a beautiful white Primula Obconica . . . but it's labelled as a houseplant, could that be right?? A friend who's a regular customer there says "they don't know what they're selling" because she bought a lovely 'alpine' Hellebore so cheaply. Hmm - I'm sitting on the fence, lol.

22 Feb, 2012

I'll have to go back and look some more - but, I really should sort out what I've got first before I add to them ...

22 Feb, 2012

Sheila..I have bought lots from there, and never had a problem..all grown well, and as suggested on the label,re instructions...I have just looked at the Primula you mentioned, on Google..as I didn't know the name...lots of info there, which may help you..seems to treat it as a houseplant in winter, and outside in summer..

22 Feb, 2012

Thank you Bloomer - now, why didn't I think of that?!

22 Feb, 2012

I surprised myself, that I had the gumption to look at it,Sheila..it doesn't often happen ! Lol.

22 Feb, 2012

:)))

22 Feb, 2012

Hi Sheila, I do apologize for making you spend money lol I must look it up too, because it is not a name I have heard of before.

22 Feb, 2012

Lol, Dotty - it's lovely, and cost £1.25!!

23 Feb, 2012

Thank you for the tip Dotty. I very rarely go into Morrisons, but boy am I glad I did now :) Took quite a bit of will power to only buy a couple plants. Ended up leaving with clematis arabella, clematis rouge cardinal a flat of primroses and a lovely little primula veris (I think). Not bad for less than £8 eh. Just kicking myself, I forgot to pick up the pack of lilly of the valley lol. May have to go back now :)))

28 Feb, 2012

Samjp you did do well, I can thoroughly recommend the clematis Arabella she flowers for ages, and all under £8.00 well done you.

29 Feb, 2012

Oooh excellent, good guess there then lol. May yet go back for Clematis Montana, since I think ours may have kicked the bucket.

Thanks Dotty :)))
