I love this photo!

You certainly have a way with planters. A lovely mix there.

We have a robin who regulalry visits our garden too..and poses just like this. Its almost as if he is waiting for you to say something! Great photo.

Such a lovely combination...and isn't the smell of lilac in the spring sun just gorgeous!

What a terrific shape! Looks waxy and robust. Lovely.

I wish I could get coleus to flourish here in the North East of Scotland but I think it's just too cold in the main. the slugs love it though!

Varigated foliage is just great isnt it. Nature never fails to amaze. Lovely.

Many thanks everyone, your comments are very kind!

Hi there,

What an exciting time you'll have with the 'blank canvases' of your front and back gardens. I do hope your foot gets better soon. Come the spring you'll be fit enough to get stuck in and have no end of fun!

I very much enjoy your photographs. You have an eye for content and clearly love the use of colour. Please do keep it up! :-)

Wow, that was a quick comment....hardly got it posted :-) thank you!

We use suet balls in feeders and the sparrows and blue tits and coal tits love them. Once they have had a feed the blackbirds appear and clear up the seeds that have dropped onto the ground. Woodpeckers are not a ffeature of the North East here. Over the last year, however, magpies have become a common sight - and sound! Because of the magpies and sometimes seagulls, we don't put food out on the ground. I would have imagined squirrels would be common too but never seen even one. I intend to install a hedgehouse house though so maybe will have those as visitors next year. :-)

I agree, just lovely

Hi Wizzbang, how exciting to be building your garden from the very start. Makes me want to dig all mine up and start again! Even when its raining you can have fun figuring out all your plans. Happy digging. Lovely lillies by the way.

Crickey that is the biggest planter I've ever seen! LoL

Coo, they score a ten on the envy scale! They have a sort of 'classic' feel to them.
