I have 3 of these purchased this year. They need plenty of water and feeding. Mine are in flower now despite the fact that they did not get as much feeding and watering as they needed.
I will get them out of the garden and pot them before the frosts start. They are tender and need to be overwintered. With no greenhouse I plan to let them go dormant, put them in our frost free cellar and try to remember to give them a little water to prevent drying out.
On question - How to care for Angels Trumpets
It came from Romania. I would think Azalea specialists would have a similar variety.

Pretty mix.

Probably not Lindak. It's not a true acacia. They sell a lot of Acacia honey here in Hungary, but that is not true Acacia either, it's from the Robinia or False Acacia.

Hello Dee. I guess one thing is to check that local conditions are favourable. I think our hot dry summers did not help. I have replaced with a weeping cherry which I hope will cope better. When you plant your new one make sure it gets plenty of water for at least it's first 3 years. We tried but it was obviously not enough.

Hi Lori. Re our weather we had more rain than normal in June, and now we are getting very hot sunny weather most of the time 35-40C, with an occasional thunderstorm to save the day. I don't like the heat either!

In answer to Tinks question, we bought 4 wooden arches in the garden section of one of those huge Hypernarkets in Budapest. It's a French hypermarket, "Auchan", and you may have some of these in UK too.

They havn't spread yet Michaella. I've got two that I grew from seed from my sisters garden, so next year I will see whether they are spreading.

It's green at the moment because we had a lot of heavy thundery storms in June. It will soon go brown if it stays dry, but it looks like we are in for some more summer storms a/c to the forecast.

I think this is a lovely plant. I had a pink one last year but it didn't make it through the winter.

Yes louise, there should be more pics because I've got a few different ones. I'm trying annual dahlias for the first time this year too, grown from seed, but they are not flowering yet.

Oops sorry Sue. I didn't save any. I think the heads have all gone now. They turned brown after a time but the blue was very good for a while. I will check if any heads left.
