Was a toss up between Eden and Heligan but as it’s longer since we were there, Heligan it was!
photos of our day!

At this point it started raining heavily and everyone started rushing for their cars or the shop!
it’s obviously what keeps that jungle area so green and jungle like….!

I loved Heligan! Unfortunately, by the time that we got to the jungle my hangover had got the better of me and I had to give up! Looking forward to returning.

~thanks everyone~it would have looked better with some sunshine!~it was damp and drizzling slightly on and off when we arrived but at about 4pm turned into a downpour~just about right for the jungle area!

we went 6/7 years ago and the walled garden especially has come on, it was early may and the rhododendrons were out, the size of the plants and the size of the blooms were amazing, one that really 'blew me away' was one 75' high and wide, it had been brought back as a seed( by the victorial planthunters ) the size of a grain of sand !
I would dearly love to go back, ' thanks for the memory....'

A great place to visit, Arlene! Thanks for the photos but didn't you feel like getting out your duster to give that old dust covered desk a good old going over? :-D LOL!

Those fruit trees look so lovely! Well cared for & properly trained they give us all a lesson on what can be done if you put your mind to it!

The leaf you were sheltering under looks a bit cumbersome to carry around the shops! :-D LOL!

Just discovered this great blog, Arlene. Wonderful looking fruit and glasshouse. The tree ferns and gunnera really do look like a jungle. I'd like to be able to get here, one day. Many Thanks for sharing your visit. :-))
