Did You Make A Gardening Resolution?

Well that’s the first month of 2010 gone and very little done so far in the garden.

I made a New Year resolution for this year and I was wondering if anyone else did? Mine was to watch less of the tennis when Wimbledon is on – the garden tends to get ignored in the second half of June but this year I intend to keep on top of things. Hopefully it will be warmer by then!

Watching TV tennis when it's cold outside, doesn't seem so bad, does it....Lol.

Mine is to write down where and when I have planted things then, hopefully, I won't dig them up by mistake.

I never make any new yr resolutions. There's no point, because I never keep them. However I have decided there are several things I have to do in the garden this year, and one of them is geting my greenhouse up. - so I hope we get some nice weather so that I can get on with it.

TT - yes I did. As you say, it is too cold to work outside just now. I was rooting for Federer - somehow I just can't get enthusiastic about Murray

Joanella - why not make a resolution not to make resolutions? :-)

I so agree Andrew, even with his new manager, Simon Fuller, his new haircut and his new clothes, he was never going to beat Federer. Maybe he likes gardening.

Andrew - mine is to carry on writing in my Garden Log - I had a year, a whole year when I didn't, and this year I'm determined to write down the tasks, plants etc. in it. I find it so useful to look back at.

Well, Sandra - you'll have to ask Baz to bring you down to the West Country for a short break, won't you! ;-)

Sanbaz - yes, do come and visit. It will be better if it's not the Open Day as you will then get my undivided attention rather than waiting in the queue :-)
