Hidden Garden

The more observant among you may have noticed many parts of my garden are named. This makes it easier to record where plants have been placed on my database. One section is called the Hidden Garden and it is about now when it lives up to its name.

This is one entrance to it, taken in March:

There is a seat in this garden, perfect for a glass of wine of an evening, tucked away from the rest of the world

Hi Andrew.
We agree with your idea about organising the list of plants that are growing in the garden, and it also helps with keeping a garden photo record.We have done the same on our garden website as it helps to create an on-going inventory of plants.Its much easier to alter or amend information on the data base which we save on our computer and transfer to disk as well.We also have done the same with our photos on this site as it helps to track how the plants are progressing each season, and from one year to the next.

Your hidden garden is great. In my old garden I divided it up into sections in order to know what I'd put for moving and what I had left to do. I didn't have a computer then so I wrote it all in a book. It was foolscap size and took up 19 pages. I didn't name the sections though. It's a good idea giving diferent names to parts of your garden. It gives it a more personalised feel.
