The first though that came to my mind, when I received the advertising about this seminar in Bournemouth was…. London Gardens, house gardens in UK, flowers on the streets!!!!

A friend of mine, who lives in UK, suggested me the KEW Royal Botanic Garden, and my friend Fernando from the Botanic Garden, here where I live, said – ‘It is impressive, you can’t miss this Botanic Garden".

I was really impressed, and almost asked for bankrupt after go through the store, but… among other things I have a pair of lovely gloves to work on my humble balcony garden, that came from Kew.

Don’t need to explain that I took tons of pictures, however, I’ve choosen among all them a few ones to share with my GOY beloved friends.

I hope you all enjoy, as I did.

Its a grand place to visit isn`t it, I went for my first visit last year Aleyna and have revisited again springtime of this year. I`m pleased you enjoyed it, we also took loads of photographs but obviously that does not matter as they all look different ,depending on the time of year it is and also the weather conditions..
Your photo`s are lovely Aleyna and thankyou for sharing with us...

I'm almost shamed to say that I have never visited Kew, even though its less than 30 miles from where I live. You have travelled thousands and have made me put this on my list. Thankyou.

Thanks for the reminder of how good Kew is, my two youngest took me down to Kew to visit about 6 years ago, always wanted to see the glass houses and pavilions and had an amazing day we all loved it, came home exhausted but extremely happy we also took lots and lots of pictures and I put them in a scrap book to remind me of the day. Excellent place, will have to try and get there again. thank you for showing the pictures.

Haven't been here for a few years, Aleyna, so was great to see some of your pics. So glad that you had a great time. Did you manage to visit any other gardens during your visit?

Lincslass,
I would certainly visit Kew, on spring time if I lived there in London.
The place is wonderful. I'm glad you like the pictures.

Littlelegs,
believe me... you shall go there, and probably the best time shall be spring, although I loved it the way it was :o)

Bloomer,
it makes me happy to know that these pictures brought you good memories

Oliveoil,
Sincerelly I would be back the next day, if I was not coming back home the same day (at night). We had a lot to see and so short of time, but we spent all day on Kew, and we didnt see it all, although we took that funny cab to go in a 40min trip around the Kew.

David,
I'm glad you liked it. We also have visited the Buckingham Palace gardens, from where I took lovely landscape pictures. We did visit a few places, the Buckingham palace, the Victoria and Albert art galleries, the mews, the parliament, the Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and of course the Mdme Tussaud's wax museum.

Oh! What memories! My Dad took me there when I was a child. We went by boat from Charing Cross Pier in London which I thought was a magical experience. Then there was the fantastic Pagoda - so lovely to see your picture of it, Aleyna. Then my favourite place in the whole of Kew was the Tropical Gardens in the huge greenhouse. It was hot and steamy and like opening a door and walking into another country! I must go there again one day. Thank you, Aleyna, for opening up these memories.

Enjoyable blog Aleyna, excellent pics, sadly I've never been as I live too far away.

HI there Nariz,

I'm glad you liked it and that brought you nice and magic memories :o)
Yes, you can have a nice trip by boat to go to the KEW garden, we did it by tube, because the short time.

Hi Heron,
I'm not sure how far you live from London, but I can tell you that I live thousand and thousand miles away.... in south Brazil. In another time on my life, before I become a GOY member, I probably wouldn't pay attention, but now I'm a Botanic Gardens fan, as I'm a flowers and plants fan :o)

Wonderful Aleyna. As I have never been there as well, I loved to see it through your eyes. Thank you for sharing a bit of your trip. I know a walk through there would be a dream. :-)

Yes Aleyna - I have worked here for about 4 years now. I try to post pictures from Kew at least once a month on my blog, so you can see some of the plants that I work with and to follow the seasons at Kew. I will be posting an update to my blog soon.

Some really great photos you have shared with us, Aleyna. I love them all! I am one of those unfortunates that have never been there. ;-( I would dearly like to see them one day!

I hope to go to Cambridge Botanical Gardens in the middle of September. I haven't been there since my only visit in the summer of 66!

I hope to get plenty of photos & make up a blog just like yours! :-)

Enjoyed your blog, Aleyna, it's obvious you really enjoyed your visit to Kew, I have been once only, in the early Spring, beautiful flowers then. The Pagoda was closed on our visit, was it open for yours ?

Nice pics, glad you enjoyed it - I've been three times, not one of my favourite places, but I only live half an hour from there. Good place for a picnic though, and if you love glasshouses, worth a trip.

Thnak you Bamboo,
I actually saw a lot of families with their children enjoying the place.

You obviously liked the fuchsias Aleyna, hope you took back happy memories of your visit to the UK. My nephew's partner is Brazilian and if they are all as nice and good fun as he is, then maybe I will add a visit to my Bucket List (to do before I die..did you see the film?)

Hi there Tetrarch,
Yes i saw the movie... please... hurry up, and let me know when you are coming...
The Botanic Garden in Rio de Janeiro is also lovely, althoug is not such magnificent as the Kew Garden.
Please check my blogs about it if you have time or feel so...

I really loved the Kew Garden, and the streets in UK with all those flowers :)

By the way "fuchsias" are originally form my state... Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil.
