You can cut it back after it has flowered if it's too big.

I agree with the others its an Oxalis I have a 'green' one in our gardens it's a lovely plant but a bit of a pain to keep in check or even try to get rid of when not required any more in a border.Hel.xxx.

your plant is an OXALIS TRIANGULARIS PURPUREA.I have grown them for years. The leaves will fold down at night as the light goes. It will have lots of pretty pink flowers on it when it gets bigger.Doesnt like hot sun.

Yes Oxalis. Lovely plant and so easy to propagate, when it gets straggly cut it all off tap out the pot and you will find dozens of little corms, divids up they will all grow and you can give some to your friends!!! They are resonably hardy too.

Yes it looks like an Oxalis. I've got a different variety in my garden whish has green leaves with a brown centre, and I have read that it is called an Iron cross plant too. Mine is covered with pink flowers in Summer. It is totally hardy.
