Opened my paper with glee, yes its a nice day (i thought)then it happened ). This opaline blue blob landed on my paper top and insisted on a kiss. Rocky our budgie had contacted our late Tiny during the night to do this manouver ,what a blooming rotter. I looked Rocky straight in the eye and in one swift move as quick as lightening i gave him one. Not a flicker , he just sat on the paper edge and started singing. This may need more drastic measures i thought as his left toe was covering the game score. Blooming reached a bender when his left leg covered the name of the player. This was the last straw, i put my finger up for him land on and in my most threatening voice told him to perch on it and let me know when the paper was free for reading. Blooming liberty i rest my case. Take care all enjoy Tony

I can never stay annoyed at my budgies, just one look at the cute little face, and I've gone all soft.

Rocky is very cute, and pretty.

hi lincslass Yes he is very hard to describe though. Its possible he could be half duck and half budgie really. We have to bribe him to vacate his blinking bath (LoL). Take care Tony

Thankyou alextb Rocky is very nice looking and a large bird for 16 weeks old ,but he never stops talking. I caught him talking to the wall paper today. Am waiting for the chaps in white coats to arrive(LoL). Knowing my luck they will leave him and take me. Take care Tony

Hi Rose hope all is good at your end. Rocky getting quite a star here but he still has a tendancy to nip if you get too close. He talks and loves his shower dips but he is an expert at causing a blooming riot when i try to read a book. My fear is that he is rapidley becoming more clever than our Tiny was. Tut tut i may be made out of date if he continues(LoL). Take care Rose Tony

Hi steragram Very upset about Tiny but have good memories. Rocky 16 weeks old now twice as large as tiny and a constant chatterbox. Tiny was very intelligent and very much like a balley dancer in composure , Rocky at present would do well in clogs and a gag (LoL). Take care Tony

Lol!

Tony, as Rocky is quite large, could he be an English Budgie, rather than an American / Australian Budgie?

I have one that may be an English Budgie. He is bigger than the 3 others I have had.

I don't know whether English are louder, but he certainly likes to make a lot more noise than my others.

Hi Alextb You have a good point, but the breeder we got Rocky from mentioned German birds were being imported and are quite large in stature. I wonder if this fact has any substance. Take care Tony

Hi Steragram Nothing like a bit of humour I agree. Take care Tony

Hi Tony, maybe the German birds are the same as English Budgies. Just bred and imported from Germany.

English budgies are the ones usually exhibited at the budgie version of Krufts type shows.

Hi Alex The breeder i mentioned stated that many of the German bred birds have no tail. Not really impressed by that. Rocky has a tendancy to nip a little yet but i hope he improves on this later as he is very intelligent really. Take care Tony
