Blooming Tubs the robin escaped my lens again. I put my camera down but only 4ft away and Tubs did a move so fast he was gone before I could reach it. That pesky robin will be laughing his head off. Yep I am going to post a reward notice on my bird bath " free nuts for a week to the bird who can tell me where Tubs Resides". I moved back into my greenhouse then as I did,nt like the look I got from a couple of sparrows that love bread crumbs. I turned my gaze to one of my nest boxes which my good lady says is housing the sound of little feet. I can only comment that in Oct I doubt it. Defeated by Tubs I decided to retreat to the dining room whilst enjoying my cup of tea and of course my digestive and peace of walnut cake. Yes I will seek more ways of getting Tubs for sure. Take care all enjoy Tony

I just checked to refresh my memory and I was right, some birds do use nest boxes in the winter as roosts to protect them from the cold, one breed huddle together is it wrens? I seem to remember something on autumn watch.....
